今更だけど、数ヶ月前に購入したOREILLYのOpen Governmentを
ぱらぱらと読んでみました。

この本はOpen Governmentをテーマに、色々の立場の人が
自らのアイデアを紹介していたりして興味深い

なぜ和書にならないのかなぁ

とりあえず、本書の中で代表的なティムオライリーの論文について気になった
文章をメモっておきます。

"Meanwhile, with the proliferation of issues and not enough resources to address them all, many government leaders recognize the opportunities Web 2.0 technologies provide not just to help them get elected, but to help them do a better job. By analogy, many are calling this movement Government 2.0."

"Web2.0 was not a new version of the World Wide Web; it was a renaissance after the dark ages of the dotcom bust, a rediscovery of the power hidden in the original design of the World Wide Web. Similarly Government 2.0 is not new kind of government; it is government stripped down to its core, rediscovered and reimagined as it for the first time."

web2.0という言葉を提案したティムオライリー自身が、web2.0はwwwの新しいバージョンではない。オリジナルのWEBシステムの隠された力を再発見するものだ。としているのが印象的。

日本でも、Government 2.0を目指すのであれば、そもそもの日本の政府の役割、期待できる力は何か考える必要があると思う。日本の政府の原型って何だろうか？
